One directions scent in a bottle anyone? Sadly for some that is not the case but I really didn't expect to love this as much as I do though. Think Marc Jacobs Oh Lola but lighter and ever so slightly more fun and less of a scent kick in the face at half the price.
I honestly prefer One Moment to Oh Lola and some of you might want to kick me for comparing them but to me they really do smell very similar.
I originally got a little sample bottle in a Superdrug order and sprayed it thinking I was going to hate it but I was very pleasantly surprised and ended up buying a full size. The overall scent is very sweet and fruity, theres pink grapefruit in there somewhere which I adore with some florals but the fruitiness comes through first. Once it's been on for a while and the base notes come through its a beautiful warm, cosy, very girly scent. It lasts a good amount of time on me and I can still smell it in the morning so double thumbs up there. I love everything about it scent wise, the bottle is a bit meh but they do tend to be with the cheaper perfumes so I can't complain that much.
I will definitely buy this again when I run out. Ben liked it until he found out it was by One Direction and now he just makes fun of me haha but he does like it so man opinion wise it got approved.

So if you like sweet and girly scents then definitely give this a whirl because it really is lovely!

What are your favourite perfumes at the moment?

I know, I know, I know I keep doing these posts basically saying I'm back and I will be posting and uploading videos and so on and so forth and then more weeks/months go by and nothing. I'm truly sorry I really and and I miss talking to all you guys! I think about ideas for posting but I'm just so exhausted from everything going on at the moment. Only one keeping me sane is Eloise (how grown up is she now!?)
I was meant to be going to see a lovely man who's going to help me with my anxiety and panic disorder but everything went tits up over the last couple of days and I didn't have a lift/babysitter so have had to reschedule for next week which he was so so lovely and understanding about but I can't help feeling like I've failed yet again before even starting. Hopefully next week will be different.

Hope you are all okay!

6 October 2013

This post has been long long long overdue what with me being a bit rubbish keeping on top of things but for the past year or so these two have been my go to products and I thought it was about time I shared these two with you guys!

I will start off by saying my skin is pretty difficult to keep happy. I have normal to oily skin which can be pretty dehydrated a lot of the time too especially as the temperature gets colder. It is also pretty sensitive and will have a massive strop and break out or dry out completely with not much in between and I also suffer a bit from hyper pigmentation so I'm always a bit apprehensive about trying new products. However, I have been unable to go wrong pairing these two up and it's even sorted my monthly skin freak out.

What I do is I use the Liz Earle Cleanser and Polish to remove my make up if I'm wearing any that day, I use a flannel with it instead of the muslin cloth because I just think it feels nicer and then follow up with the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Scrub (or the wash which is just as great). Some days I will skip the Liz Earle if say, I wasn't wearing make up as it's pretty pricey (for some reason I seem to get through a tonne) and just wash my face with the Neutrogena scrub.

I cannot fault either of these apart from if I'm having a dry skin day the scrub can be a bit to harsh and so I just use the cleanse and polish but aside from that paired together these are amazing and I love them and my skin if a whole less rubbish so everyone is happy. Only took me 22 years!!

Have any of you guys tried these?

When I first saw this I knew sooner or later I'd end up buying it as I find waiting for moisturiser to sink into my skin the most boring thing on earth and 100% not what I wasn't to be waiting around for when chasing after a 3 year old and a kitten. I', not really a massive fan of Vaseline products really, I've probably tried most of their lip balms and so forth but nothing has ever wowed me so I wasn't expecting miracles with this one either.

If you're thinking now that I'm going to surprise you all and say i found this fantastic I'm afraid you're wrong unfortunately. It was okay. You have to twist the nozzle to open it which is a plus for handbags and parents with toddlers and it sprayed pretty evenly although not as much of a mist as I would have liked really, I had patches of milky goo which took a bit of rubbing in, much more than the seconds it claims on the can. It wasn't that greasy so good marks there and it moisturised okay. I wasn't a huge fan of this scent though, I chose the pure oat extract one on a whim and sort of wish I'd gone for the cocoa butter one now even though that scent was stronger. It didn't linger too long though but if I sniffed my skin I could smell it.

All in all it was okay and for those days where you're in a rush or just really can't be bothered with slapping a thick moisturiser on then this would be great but if you have particularly dry skin you may find this too light.

Review: Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean

I will start by saying this stuff smells amazing! Think peaches with a hint of fresh mint. Somewhat similar to Scrub Your Nose In It but peachy! It's a light milky texture that leaves my skin refreshed but smooth. I don't think it leave my face feeling as clean as other cleansers but it cleans nonetheless and is great for those days where my skin is feeling a little dry but needs a deep clean.

It isn't a heavy creamy texture so is relatively easy to wash off but you do have to make sure you don't miss the dips in your face. The instructions say to rub double on your T-Zone to maximise the purifying actives and it cleans off any excess oil I may have sitting about on my face (yuck!) so top marks for that.

I tend to use this if I have a bath before I apply my make up because I like the way it preps my skin by leaving it smooth and moisturised as opposed to just cleansed.

If I were to use this at night I think I would have to double cleanse as I like to apply a separate moisturiser after cleansing and like my skin to be squeaky clean before hand to avoid break outs from my skin being over moisturised.

This also works really well with the Clarisonic Mia. I find that it works better actually! The milky texture is pretty much perfect as the Clarisonic makes up for the not so cleansed feel as it removes anything anyway. The moisture it offers is also lovely as sometimes my skin just needs that extra protection moisture wise whilst cleansing, especially when using the Mia.

Gee x

This is probably one of the prettiest bath bombs from Lush and if you love a tonne of glitter in your bath then definitely give this one a shot.

I'm not a massive fan of lavender scents so I was a bit dubious as to whether or not I'd like this but actually, i couldn't smell a lot of lavender in it, more of a malty ever so slightly vanilla-esk scent which is lovely.

It is super moisturising, comforting and creates pink and blue foamy swirls that turn the water into a beautiful purple shade packed with glitter! What could be better?

At £3.20 it's one of their more expensive bath bombs but it is one of the prettiest ones I've tried for sure! Only thing I can moan about is that the glitter was a bit of a pain to remove but other than that it was amazing and I will be going back for more!

Review: NARS Blush in Orgasm - A Blush For Everyone?

This seems to be one of the top cheek products everyone seems to rave about claiming it to be the ultimate universal blush and I remember being really excited when I finally took the plunge and purchased it mid last year! The packaging is lovely as with all NARS products, well designed minus the dirt grabbing finish (which i can live with as it feels super soft), the pan is well attached etc etc but I must admit I wasn't as wowed by this product as I had hoped, at first anyway.

The blush itself is a lovely peachy pink with lovely golden tones which perhaps were a bit too glitter like for me in certain lights as I'm pretty fair which tends to make getting the right blush a bit of a nightmare. This being said makes the universal claim that seems to have been made over the blogsphere a little bit of a porkie but nevertheless I have really grown to like it.

I don't really know what I was expecting when I first tried it as the pigmentation didn't seem to show up on my skin until I'd either given a good 2 coats or drowned my brush in it but lesson learnt, less is more. For some reason, the lighting in my room seems to make this bush look near invisible until I get into natural lighting which isn't the greatest thing to say the least. Just me? ...Probably.

All in all I probably won't re purchase or even finish the entire thing but I think if you have darker skin than me, give it a go!

P.s. Hello again everyone! Little update for those who are wondering, still very much in the woods with my mind problems but hoping blogging again will aid my distraction from this. Thank you for all being so patient and for all your lovely comments on my last post. You're all amazing and I cannot thank you enough for your support as It's really what I need right now. xxxxx
