When Revlon came out with a brand new line of these pretty little things I must admit I was rather excited. After the release of their Lip Butters (which are amazing by the way, top marks there Revlon) which were a huge hit within the blogsphere a couple of years ago, I could hardly contain my excitement for theses beauties and I had high hopes for the new line of balms.

Revlon Colourburst in Vivacious is a warm pinky red shade with a highly pigmented balmy texture and a lovely sheen. I can see this becoming a favourite in Spring and Summer. It has a slightly blue tone meaning it won’t make your teeth look as yellow as, umm, a yellow thing…which is fab!

It comes in the form of a chubby pencil which makes application more precise than a regular lipstick type bullet although ti does take a bit of getting used to if you’ve never used a pencil type applicator before or at least it took me a bit of time to adjust. It has a light peppermint scent which I’m not quite sure whether I like yet as I was hoping for a similar scent to the butters as that was lovely but maybe it will grow on me, we shall see.

Overall I am pretty impressed with this one! The only thing I would  have changed about it would be the scent, I’m not overly keen on minty scents and would have much preferred the wonderful sweet scent the butters had but alas, we can’t have it all. Well done again Revlon!

Have you tried these? What did you think? Any shade recommendations?

Aww super pretty on you Georgina! I'd like to pick up some of these new releases from Revlon, I'm just unsure which ones to go for.
