ALDI CHRISTMAS TREAT HAUL

I stupidly forgot to book a Christmas slot for our food shop and ended up having to go into several shops over the course of 3 days to get 99% of what I wanted, which is a miracle in itself. Except writing this, I realise I forgot to buy more cheese…Fuck. Anyway, Aldi normally comes up trumps whenever I need anything so I thought it would be nice to share some festive junk food in the shape of a little Aldi haul, enjoy!

Deep Filled Mince Pies: It isn’t Christmas without mince pies; whether you like them or not. I normally make some but with moving house this month and the general stress of last minute shopping I just couldn’t be arsed. Sorry Father Christmas.

Aldi also do salted caramel ones which are next level amazing but they had sold out which crushed my soul. Note to Aldi: more Salted Caramel Mince Pies.

Mini Spiced Salted Caramel Mince Pies: I’m hoping these are as good as the deep filled ones or my Christmas is ruined. I really love the decorative edges on these boxes! It makes them look so much more fancy than your bog standard shite.

Fruit Cake Bar: This will be consumed 100% by me. Bar means it’s like a chocolate bar so it’s meant to be eaten like that…If that’s wrong then I don’t want to be right.

This is a good bit of fruit cake, could do with some booze in it but aside from that it’s pretty damn nice!

Mini Marzipan Stollen: I always buy stollen from Aldi although normally I get the gigantic fuck off size but I couldn’t find that amongst the never ending sea of last minute shoppers so this will have to suffice.

Savoury Selection: Christmas isn’t complete without a selection of random puff pasty cheese bites. This box has Parmesan and Rosemary Christmas Trees, Black and Green Olive Palmier, and Sesame and Poppy Seed Triangles. I got these last year too and ended up buying about three in the sales too.

Chocolate Florentines: Chocolate and nuts; you can’t go wrong with chocolate and nuts. These were only a couple of quid and the presence of whole nuts means the kids “can’t have them”. Win win.

Christmas Pudding: You can’t have Christmas without a pudding, it’s like an unwritten rule that there must always be one present even if no one actually likes it. I hated it as a kid but as I’ve got older its’ grown on me. This one from Aldi also has ALL THE BOOZE.

So, that’s my little festive Aldi haul! With this lot and the other bits and bobs from what feels like 6 million other shops I will be lucky to fit through a standard sized door at the end of this but what better excuse to stuff your face than Christmas, eh? Bring on the food!

*Not sponsored, I just fucking love Aldi.
