Birchbox time is my favourite time of the month and just look at the design on this months box! A big part of my ever growing love for Birchbox is the beautiful, unique designs each time and I can’t believe I’m saying it but I think I love this lovely tropical leaf design more than last months Cath Kidston collaboration! I know! I’m shocked too! If there were a prize for the most Insta worthy beauty box then Birchbox would literally slay that competition and win hands down!
I love the colour of this, the consistency reminds me of the Lime Crime Lip Velvetines but it dries a tonne faster than them. It is however, extremely drying and when I say drying I mean like Sahara desert drying so you will definitely need some lip balm with this one. The colour is lovely and veeery similar to Lime Crime Cupid without the weird petrol scent of the Lip Velvetines.
This is a new fave of mine, the scent is absolutely bloody gorgeous on top of being vegan and cruelty free meaning I have even more love for this little bottle. It’s really gentle and suitable for sensitive skin and even those eczema prone skin types which is perfect for me! My only niggle is that it doesn’t bubble up well and I like to see a bunch of bubbles with a body wash because it makes me feel cleaner, is that a thing? I still love it enough to purchase the full size though, the scent is amazing!
I have had this in a beauty box before and I love the whole idea of this little balm! There are no harsh chemicals and it’s all as natural as the grass beneath your feet, it contains sweat-absorbing arrowroot, antibacterial coconut oil (is there anything coconut oil can’t do?) and good old shea butter. I’m not overly crazy on the scent, it’s quite strong in the pot but the fact it’s so natural does everything else for me!
I love Nuxe so when I saw this gem inside this months box I was instantly drawn to it! It smells amazing, is super gentle, non drying and my skin adore it! It contains hyaluronic acid to leave your skin oh so luminous with a more even complexion. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it contains micro beads, there are tiny little blue ones in this and my skin may love it but the oceans don’t which is such a shame!
If you are a veteran beauty blogger (ok maybe not veteran because that makes us sound old as balls) then you may remember the whole Eyeko hype! It was all the rage back in the day! Well…in 2012 and for good reason! This month I got their skinny liquid eyeliner which is in pen form aka the only form of liquid eyeliner I can semi apply. The pigment is amazing and the staying power is definitely there and it lasted through a day of hand washing and even after that I had to scrub it off! I’m impressed!
