After being told off by Ben for working too much we took off to our “go to” last minute family day out destination in the form of a National Trust property. I know I’ve said it a billion times but our NT membership is one of the best thing’s we have ever bought, this is our second year of being members and the gardens are just so beautiful. I think these gardens have got to be my absolute favourite so far for this year, the wisteria is amazing!
Can we also appreciate how cute Lily looks in her little romper?! It’s the Adelfa Smock Romper from La Coqueta (who make amazing clothes for babies) which I am so in love with. It’s 100% cotton so perfect for Lily’s eczema prone skin, mother or pearl buttons which give is that lovely vintage look and the print is the most pretty little design I’ve ever seen.
We went to Hidcote Manor Gardens and the Wisteria hysteria was strong! I took so many photos of it because it was just so beautiful. I want to have some lovely climbing plants up the side of our house, I just think it’s so pretty! I’ve been hardcore plant shopping this month and our home is looking very green and fresh. Next stop is a nice trellis for the back garden.
We also had a resident wasp in our shed who was an absolute queen (pun intended) building that little nest but also because she didn’t sting Ben when he moved her. Watching her build that tiny thing was both fascinating and equally terrifying but a great home ed prompt.
Last but not least, me and Ben. We hardly ever take photos together, mainly because this happens, haha! I really need to make more of an effort to take photos of just us, I think perhaps that’s one for next month!
