My outfit of the day…
I’ve been feeling some 80s vibes with my clothes lately, even though I’m a 90’s kid I feel like 80’s fashion is my calling at the moment. Is this 80’s? This is 80’s, right? … Okay, I Googled to make sure and it has got that 80’s vibe, I wasn’t just making it up.
Considering this blog started as a beauty and fashion blog I haven’t done an outfit post in actual years. I have done a post about Eloise’s OOTD not long ago but that doesn’t really count, does it?
The shirt is an eBay vintage find, I love eBay for vintage clothes, they’re always so much cheaper on there than the fancy vintage stores that pop up randomly. I think this cost me under a fiver. The jeans are Pull & Bear, I bloody love these, the little fringe around the ankles is so summery and I love how they look with a pair of Vans or Converse. They’re that non-stretch, good quality feeling denim which I love. I normally only wear Levi’s these days but these are pretty similar in quality! The bag is from Hunkemöller, I freaking love everything on their site, I am still in love with the bra I got the other month too, it’s so pretty! It’s like a boob holiday whenever I wear a bra that doesn’t have clips on the straps and isn’t pure ugly.
Strawberry picking aside, I actually started my upcycling projects and painted most of our furniture pink and our kitchen is looking very Cath Kidston now with all the pastels and I’ve ticked off one of my July goals in the process. It’s like a little old lady kitchen and I love it! I want to get some of those super cute Smeg pastel kettles too because not only would it definitely be better than our shitty, leaky one it would look perfect with all the pink. Someone be an enabler. I also managed to get sunburn the other day from standing in the shade all day painting. In the damn shade…I chose probably the hottest time of the day to do it so I only have myself to blame really.
Hands up who’s been melting for the past two weeks thanks to the massive heatwave that hit the UK this month! It has been tit sweat galore over here and it’s ain’t been fun let me tell you. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sunshine, I love being able to have the kitchen door open and the kids running in and out of the garden but what I don’t like is the muggy, pollen filled hell that comes with it. Also, not a fan of my entire house looking like a nightclub for the whole insect population every damn night, there are at least 30 moth corpses around the place by morning and that isn’t even an exaggeration. Flies too, they fuck me right off they do. What is the point of flies? I will tell you – there is no point.
Today I plan to do as little as possible because I am yet to be caught up with chronic illness hell from painting the other day so I’m waiting for that to hit.
