Summer Skincare Edit…

As you have probably noticed, I switch my skincare up a lot and it’s rare for me to have a solid routine that lasts for longer than a few months at a time, not because I don’t love the products anymore but because I get bored. Same with shampoos, shower gels, etc. Nothing gives me more joy than trying out a new product so yeh, I switch things up a lot. My bathroom and various drawers are packed full of different skincare and shower products and I’m not sorry. Well, maybe I am a bit because I’m running out of space, haha. However, this little combo has been doing everything and more for me at the moment so I thought I’d share what I’m loving in an updated skincare post!

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

This is my ultimate new favourites, I originally read a review that said the scent was really chemically which put me right off it but I got a sample of it in one of my Glossier orders and fell in love with it. It doesn’t smell chemically at all to me, it has a light rose scent which is lovely and delicate, not overpowering at all.

It’s got a gel-like consistency which I don’t normally get on with because gels tend to dry my skin out but this shit is literally amazing. It’s like a cleanser/conditioner for your face and my skin is left super soft and moisturised and not tight at all.

Use my discount code to get 10% off your first Glossier order. I get £10 credit for every purchase made using my code.

Bioderma Sensibo H20

This is a rekindled old fame and I feel like I’ve fallen in love all over again. I have been really bad lately and have just been using whatever baby wipes we have in to remove my make up and basically my skin hated me.

Bioderma was my go to make up remover for the longest time but it was so difficult to source back then so I ended up just not repurchasing it. It’s available in the UK now so it’s super easy to get hold of and I’m so glad to have a bottle again! It removes my make up perfectly, even waterproof mascara! I love this stuff!

Aldi Cotton Wool Pads

These are probably the most boring things in this entire post but I can’t not talk about them. I normally buy whatever is cheapest, hence why I picked these up but damn these are good! They have substance to them and don’t do the “thing” where they go all thin and gross to the point the makeup starts showing on the other side, these guys are plump, soft and have a slightly textured design on one side making them extra amazing at getting makeup off. These are everything you want in a cotton pad and more.

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution

I love this stuff too! If you know me then you know I never sleep, Lily is basically broken and doesn’t sleep at night so I have more bags under my eyes than Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose combined so any help I can get to avoid looking like I died a few years ago I’m ALL over. I really do feel like this makes a difference, it has a slight warming sensation when you first put it on too which is really soothing. I can definitely see an improvement since using this.

The Ordinary Buffet

This is my newest The Ordinary purchase, I have heard amazing things about this one and so far I’m not disappointed. For this I use one of those silicone make up sponge things to apply it because I find I lose a lot less product that way, I bloody hate using them for foundation but they’re cracking for serums and facial oils!

Anyway, back to Buffet! I normally go for a facial oil for some heavy overnight treatment to help revive my corpse-like face but I’m quite liking this serum, if find it goes on the skin a lot lighter than an oil which has been much more comfortable during the heat. It’s meant to target multiple signs of aging and it’s never too early to start that, right? Wrinkle wise I can’t comment because well, I’m not even 30 yet but my face feels plumper and my foundation goes on a lot smoother after using this overnight.

Origins Super Spot Remover

Since it’s been a million degrees outside and my entire body has been coated with a thick layer of sweat my face has inevitably suffered from more breakouts. Don’t let the tiny bottle phase you because this little thing doesn’t half pack a punch! Honestly, guys, a tiny drop of this will kill even those really gross, painful under the skin spots overnight. Don’t know how I coped without this, to be honest!

Glossier Balm dot com

I freaking love this stuff! I have the original although I have been eying up the Birthday Cake one for a while now. I use this to prime my lips before lipstick or just on its own with a bit of highlighter to give my lips that summery glow.

I also like to use this on my eyebrows and lashes before bed too and the difference in them both since doing this is insane! I used to use just straight up coconut oil or Haymax (haha) but every since I ran out I’ve been using this and it’s made such a difference in the strength of my lashes as well as the length. It also doesn’t make me half blind like coconut oil did, haha!

Nuxe Reve De Meil

This is my holy grail of lip products and I couldn’t be without this. My lips get pretty sore at most things, especially cold weather and fans and because we have had out fan going pretty much 24/7 lately my lips haven’t been happy. A layer of this before bed and they’re grand by the morning. It’s also a great one to prime lips for matte lipstick because it’s very matte itself. Definitely, one everyone needs to buy yesterday, to be honest.
