I know I say this literally every month but seriously, how is time going so quickly!? Summer seems to have flown by and I actually contemplated putting the heating on earlier because I was freezing my tits off. Not long ago I felt like the years dragged but since having kids they seem to have flown by, is it an old person thing? Am I an old person now? Is 27 the new 104?
01. Make business cards to go in orders
This is something I probably should have done a while ago but hey ho, I’m thinking of maybe making some little “thank you” notes to go in too but I don’t know if I’m thinking too much about this because I bet 90% of people just bin the extra stuff that comes with an order…Unless you’re me because I hoard them in random drawers around the house.
02. Buy a fucking doormat
Ever since the decapitated rabbit on the doorstep scenario where we had to bin our front door mat (I will spare you the details) and basically, I keep forgetting to buy a new one. I’ve seen one in Matalan which has a sort of embossed “hello” written on it which I thought was really cute and I loved it so it’s a case of remembering to pick one up when I next go to town. Someone remind me.
03. Upload some prints I’ve designed on my Etsy
I’ve spent quite a bit of time this month drawing random little graphics and things, mainly for Eloise’s bedroom but some of them would work quite nicely as posters or prints and such so I am in the process of figuring out if and how it’d be worth it. I might do a blog post with a collection of my designs first to see how much interest I would have…maybe.
04. Keep up with my What My Toddler Ate Tuesday linky
I’m putting this a goal mainly so I remember to do it. August’s link up closed on the 4th September but Septembers link up will be live on the 11th so keep your eyes peeled if you want to join in!
05. Keep my shit together with the housework
Since discovering Mrs Hinch on Instagram I have felt so much more at ease in my surroundings. Mainly because I’ve cleaned everything to within an inch of its life but mostly because I’m so much happier when the housework is done. I am one of those people who cannot concentrate on anything if something needs doing and a lot of the time I am genuinely a weirdo who just enjoys cleaning but without some sort of structure to my cleaning routine I feel like I’ve missed things out even though I probably haven’t. Anyway, since keeping on top of the cleaning and doing smaller jobs daily rather than doing things once every so many days it’s a hell of a lot less daunting. Also, to absolute fuck am I leaving my oven to get as filthy as it was because I genuinely nearly died cleaning that son of a bitch.
